Hello Gorgeous,

I hear a lot about how do you be happy after a break-up? How am I supposed to be happy by myself? First of all you have to love yourself. You will never be happy if you’re looking for happiness in someone else. Let’s be honest here for a moment, people are a big let down. People are human and after awhile selfishness kicks in. I asked one of my favorite groups “How To Be Happy With Yourself” and these are the responses I received.

Don’t depend on others to make you happy. Treat yourself at least once a month. Remember that some people will support you and others may not (including family) . So, don’t be discourage because of the ones who didn’t.

Say positive affirmations daily, develop a hobby, skill or talent, pamper yourself, do things that you enjoy alone, get enough rest, eat better, exercise, get rid of or distance yourself from toxic people, accept and/or work on all your perceived flaws, please yourself before anyone else, etc.

Stay true to yourself and accept who u are.

Smile through the struggle. It’s far easier to wear a smile then a frown. Spoil yourself every now and then. Sky is the limit and you know that you can have what you want, be what you want.

Learning to forgive yourself is a major part of being happy.

These ladies mentioned a lot of good points. I’d like to add go out, enjoy life, go somewhere or do something that you’ve never done or been before, do something that you enjoy, and the biggest thing that most people can’t even answer Find SOMETHING That YOU Enjoy. Also take pride in your appearance. As ladies we know that if we look good then we feel good.

I hope this helps someone out there.

  1. I love this! I think so many times we allow our happiness to depend on other people forgetting that we create it . I’ve had to remind myself so many times that it’s up time to be happy

  2. When it comes to happiness a lot of people tend to get deep and philosophical. I really liked the practical approach you and your friends took in sharing tips. It is as easy as turning that corner in your mind, and deciding to be happy by doing what you need to for you. Doing what’s best. And not worrying about what others may say.

    1. True but sometimes if you suffer from anxiety or depression it’s kind of hard to switch to happiness.

  3. You’re literally speaking my language! I love this post. You should definitely check out my blog, wildextremities.com, which is definitely in the same vein .
